Похоже Цвейману придётся в срочном порядке пересмотреть свою ценовую политику.
Очень маловероятно, что именно этот аппарат будет как то отличаться в худшую сторону от остальной продукции. Предпосылок для этого нет. Качество продукции довольно высокое, это известный факт.
Вокруг нас масса переоцененных вещей: продукция apple, symbolic sound, список можно продолжать до бесконечности. Всё ОК - люди покупают. Я тоже считаю что прайс у производителя приподнят, ну так ведь и букла не дёшева. Никого это не останавливает.

"Steppy is a 4-track programmable gate sequencer with eight internal memory slots, external clocking, numerous tweakable parameters, and a performance-first design aesthetic.
Each track features numerous independent parameters that govern its playback independently of the other tracks. Specifically:
Each track has its own length, which can range from 1-step to 64-steps, allowing for polyrhythms, fills, or constantly evolving gate interactions between tracks.
Each track has its own gate length, which ranges from very short to very long, with tied gates possible at the extreme setting.
Each track has its own clock divider, allowing patterns to play out over completely different periods of time.
Each track has its own swing setting, which offsets the timing of every other step.
Each track has its own delay setting, which offsets the timing of every step.
Each track has its own probability control, which sets the likelihood that each programmed gate will fire when called upon by the pattern.
Each track can be shifted (or ‘rotated’) forward or backward by a number of steps. So if you’ve created a pattern that ‘feels’ like it has its downbeat on step 3, you can shift that pattern two steps to the left, so that the downbeat sits on step 1.
Tracks can be programmed by entering active steps on the grid or tapped in live as the sequence is moving. Tracks can be selected and modified in real time as the sequence plays. A select button allows you to directly access each track (and each page of 16 steps within that track) directly through Steppy’s intuitive multifunction buttons array.
Tracks can be individually muted and unmuted, and a special performance mode (called “Loopy”) enables you to touch any two gate steps and instantly create a performance that loops between those steps.
Track patterns can be cleared without clearing its playback parameters, and all track patterns (along with their individual playback and performance parameters) can be saved as a preset to one of eight internal memory slots.

Это ж Catalyst на Superbooth 18 представлял, звучит не плохо. Говорят купили они его (проблемы с продажами). Но 100-я серия не так интересна, вот если бы они 200-ую засунули в еврорэк... Но это из области фантастики.

Да нет никакой фантастики, всё вполне логично, если посмотреть на тенденцию.

@temaniak, присматриваюсь к нему. Не приходилось сравнивать с LI? Насколько существенна разница? LIP выглядит явно понавороченней. Добавили огибайку, выбор алгоритма через cv. Несколько режимов, опять же с cv... В основе тот же LI, но с большим кол-вом целей. Лень листать мануал, 4 нижних дырки с надписью envelope, это что?

USTA is a 4×4 tracks sequencer for voltages and gates with variable stage duration, designed to quickly see and edit multiple voltage relationships in real time.

“Variable stage duration” means that every single stage duration can be individually set in relation to the clock, instead of being constrained to a one-to-one ratio (i.e. one stage per every clock impulse).

“4×4 tracks” means that every stage can store and generate up to four separate voltages (two CVs and two gates), and that up to four independent stage sequences can be arranged into as many different tracks.

Its architecture is based on an array of 16 ‘Stages’ which form a ‘Pattern’; 16 patterns form a ‘Track’, and four tracks form a ‘Project’. Within each track, each stage can provide two gates and two CVs, and a wide set of options is available to define and modify the value of each output (‘Layers’) and the way it is played (‘Colors’).

Every Stage is related to a dedicated stepped encoder for quick and intuitive editing, and all the 16 encoders are arranged in an oval layout with a circular playhead. With extensive voltage control of nearly every parameter, Linnaeus lets you manipulate the filter’s natural response curve in new ways, to create both subtle and dramatic timbral effects. LINNAEUS’s cutoff/resonant frequency is exponentially voltage controllable from sub-audio to ultrasonic frequencies, while its resonant gain (Q) is exponentially voltage controllable from 0dB to greater than 60dB.

LINNAEUS’s channel output response characteristics are independently and continuously variable from Lowpass, through Bandpass, Highpass and Notch, to Low and High Shelving characteristics. Voltage control of the response characteristics are independently selectable for each of the two channels.
