Smart Looping MIDI and Automation Clips
Easily loop any clip by dragging out repetitions. Changing one changes them all. More than just looping, clips also have a new look and can be resized without selecting them first.
Track Folders
Keep your sequencer organized with all-new Track Folders. Easily group tracks into one for easy arrangement and editing.
Track Overview
A new area in the sequencer view shows a full overview of a selected track’s mixer and Rack devices. Create, move and delete Rack devices or adjust Mixer level, pan, mute and solo from the Sequencer.
Separate Rack Column per track
When creating a new track and new Rack column is also created, making it easy to see Rack devices on each Track.
Separate Rack Window
The Rack now acts more like a plugin window when separated, always on top and opened when you need it. Coupled with the Track Panel and Rack per Track features, it’s a brand new track-centric way of making music in Reason.
MIDI Note Chase
Turn on Chase Notes During Playback and MIDI notes will trigger even if you start in the middle of one.
Automatic Tempo Detection
Reason now reads more tempo metadata and will estimate the tempo of audio loops at import.
Updated Factory Sound Bank
Reason 14 adds 900+ drum samples, 50 new Europa patches, and 20 new Impulse Responses and RV7000 patches.
Dark Mode Mixer
The Mixer now follows your theme settings, and defaults to dark. No more eye strain in the dead of night.
RV-9 Reverb Station
RV-9 Reverb Station is the successor to the legendary RV7000, rebuilt with nine new algorithms. The modern modes are where it gets interesting: granular reverb for soundscapes that flutter and shift, spectral reverb with freeze for ambiences that hang in the air, and Echoverb, a delay that progressively smears into something lusher and stranger. For everything else, the revamped classic algorithms cover room, hall, arena, cathedral, spring, and plate with a realism that the originals only hinted at. Shimmer, ducking, and a fully parametric EQ are built in throughout.
